1. Spindle Set (complete)
When needed: For worn or damaged threads
The spindle set is the heart of every clamp and contains everything you need for a complete repair: handle with spindle, pressure plate, and plastic cap. With intensive use, the thread can wear out – with the original BESSEY spindle set, your clamp will be ready for use again quickly. Simply unclip the old pressure plate, if it already has a click system, or tilt the pressure plate and hit it off the ball with sideways hammer blows. The next step would be to screw in the new spindle and press the pressure plate onto the ball until it clicks into place. Use the protective cap as needed.
2. Wooden Handle Ergo 3100385 in Size 6 with Split Pin
When needed: For broken or worn handles
The ergonomic wooden handle in size 6 with split pin is the original replacement handle for large BESSEY clamps with a spindle receiver of 15.50 mm. It ensures comfortable working and fits perfectly in the hand – just like the original.
Assembly Instructions:
- Place/tap the wooden handle onto the spindle
- Drill a hole for the split pin (rivet) with a drill (approx. 90° rotated from the old hole)
- Insert the split pin (rivet) through the hole and rivet the end piece with a hammer - done!
3. Sliding Arm, also called Moving Jaw.
When needed: For damaged or worn sliding arms
The sliding arm is an important component of the clamp and can be replaced with original spare parts if necessary. Beforehand, the end stop must either be removed, unscrewed or ground off. Afterwards, the defective sliding arm can simply be exchanged for a new one. Finally, reattach the end stop – if it was ground off, a small weld spot is sufficient.
4. Pressure Plates & Protective Caps
When needed: To protect delicate workpieces
Suitable for: All BESSEY clamps with interchangeable pressure plates.
Original BESSEY pressure plates distribute the clamping force evenly and protect delicate surfaces from pressure marks. Plastic caps also provide additional protection against damage. BESSEY has come up with something special here: Easy replacement with a click system instead of elaborate flaring. For the 3101339 interchangeable pressure plate, you still have to flare the upper edge over the 8 mm ball.
These pressure plates are available in four sizes:
- 3101339 Interchangeable pressure plate - suitable for 8 mm ball
- 3101339 Interchangeable pressure plate - suitable for 10 mm ball
- 3101339 Interchangeable pressure plate - suitable for 12 mm ball
- 3101339 Interchangeable pressure plate - suitable for 13 mm ball
